Faye Johnson Running Coach

I’ve spent 15 years working in health, fitness and coaching, from gym floors to the fells of Wales and the Lake District, and on to the mountains and trails of Mallorca and New Zealand. Those experiences have shaped how I coach: practical, adventurous, and grounded in the reality that most runners are balancing training with work, family, stress, fatigue and everything else life throws at them.

I specialise in trail, fell and off-road running from half marathon through to ultra-distance. Whether you’re stepping up to your first big hilly race, returning after a setback, or you’ve been self-coaching for years and feel stuck in a plateau, my goal is the same: help you become a stronger, more confident runner without burning yourself out.

Coaching with me is personalised, achievable, and genuinely enjoyable. We’ll build training around your real life, not the other way round, so you can stay consistent, keep your body resilient, and feel proud of what you’re doing.

I’m big on helping you understand the “why” behind your sessions, making smart adjustments when energy dips or life gets busy, and keeping running something that adds to your wellbeing rather than draining it.
