I’m a UK-based running coach, ultrarunner, and father, coaching athletes across the UK and Europe since 2017. My work is grounded in first-hand experience of ultramarathon, mountain, and long-distance trail running, combined with structured, evidence-based coaching practices.
Alongside my coaching, I’ve spent years competing in ultra and trail races across the UK and Europe, achieving multiple podium finishes, course records, and several Fastest Known Times within the UK. I hold a trail 100 mile personal best of 13:59 hours, achieved through consistent, sustainable training rather than short-term extremes. This competitive background allows me to understand the physical and mental demands of long-distance performance from both an athlete’s and a coach’s perspective.
I coach runners of all abilities, from beginners building confidence and structure, to advanced and expert athletes preparing for ultras, mountain races, and long, demanding trail challenges. Many of the athletes I work with are parents, shift workers, or full-time professionals, so flexibility, realism, and open communication are central to how I coach.
All athletes receive fully individualised training through TrainingPeaks, with sessions automatically syncing to all major GPS watch brands. Strength and conditioning is integrated into every programme, using either gym-based or bodyweight training depending on access and preference.
Communication is a core part of my coaching approach, and athletes have unlimited access to me via WhatsApp for feedback, questions, and plan adjustments, ensuring support is always available when it’s needed.
My coaching philosophy prioritises durability, fatigue management, and long-term development. The goal isn’t just race-day performance, but building resilient, confident runners who can train consistently, adapt to life’s demands, and enjoy the process over the long term.
