Embark on an unforgettable 104 mile ultra along the stunning Southern Upland Way, beginning in St John's Town of Dalry and culminating in Galashiels. This challenging 100 mile ultra marathon leads runners through some of the UK's most scenic and demanding terrain, including climbs over Benbrake, Gateshaw Rig, Lowther Hill and Minch Moor.
The route also winds past iconic landmarks such as Daer Reservoir, the Three Brethren, and the shores of St Mary’s Loch. Supported by GB Ultra, this flagship event features live tracking via GB Race Tracker and follows the fully waymarked route of one of Scotland’s Great Trails. The race contributes towards your UTMB performance index and awards ITRA mountain points.
The Scotland 100 Mile Ultra gets underway at 6:00 AM on Saturday 6th June 2026, starting from St John's Town of Dalry Town Hall, Ayr Road, DG7 3SW. Runners should collect their race bib and tracker between 4:15 AM and 5:30 AM on race morning.
