The Blended's Backyard Ultra offers a fantastic endurance challenge on a secluded, private estate in rural Hampshire. Following the classic Backyard Ultra format, runners must complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour, on the hour until there is only one person left standing. There is no fixed cut-off time as the race continues indefinitely, concluding when a single runner remains as the last to complete a final, solitary lap having outlasted all other competitors!

Course

The 4.167 mile loop is set entirely on private land, granting runner exclusive access to a mixed-terrain course. The route, which starts and finishes at the edge of Godsfield Copse, is crafted to engage runners with its variety. It winds through farmland and open fields, passes the trig point on Bugmore Hill with its sweeping views and ventures into serene woodland trails. The consistent elevation gain on each lap, while not overly steep, provides a cumulative physical test that builds over successive hours. The course is well marked and designed to be both challenging and engaging.

A well-stocked "fuel station" at the event camp offers basic provisions, including drinking water (hot and cold), squash and various snacks. Camping is permitted Fri, Sat and Sun night for 1 tent or van and toilets are available the event camp.

As is typical for backyard ultras, a full mandatory kit list is not generally enforced, but runners should be prepared for all conditions. This includes weather-appropriate running gear, suitable trail shoes, and a reliable headtorch with spare power for night laps.
