Get ready to discover the wild heart of South Wales with the Epona 100, an unforgettable 100 mile ultra marathon that will test your limits and reward you with breathtaking beauty. This isn't just a race; it's an adventure through ancient landscapes and a testament to the power of human endurance.
The Epona 100 mile ultra is a stunningly beautiful but challenging course, weaving its way through the iconic Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. You'll tackle a formidable 5,181m of elevation as you traverse a trio of legendary trails: the historic Offa's Dyke Path, the rugged Cambrian Way, and the glorious Beacons Way.
From the charming market town of Abergavenny, you'll embark on a journey that takes you across rolling hills, through dense forests and over windswept mountain passes. The route is a true showcase of Welsh beauty, with panoramic views that will leave you breathless (and not just from the climb!). With 80% of the course on trail and 20% on quiet country lanes, you'll be fully immersed in the stunning scenery.
With eight well-stocked checkpoints, including a full-fare sleep station, you'll never be far from a friendly face and a warm Welsh "cwtch" (cuddle). So are you ready to take on the challenge and discover the magic of the Epona 100? Visit the official race website for more info and registration details.
