Prepare for the ultimate test of endurance with the Remarkable Chester Ultra 100 Mile race! This meticulously well-marked event will guide you through some of the finest trails in the region, offering a true taste of North West England's natural beauty.
The course encompasses iconic landmarks and diverse terrain, including the historic Sandstone Trail, sections of the Marches Way running alongside the serene River Dee, the challenging climbs of Helsby Hill and Frodsham, the picturesque ruins of Beeston Castle, the tranquil expanse of Delamere Forest, and the scenic Bridgewater Canal. With 1,590m of ascent and 12 well-stocked checkpoints along the route, you'll be well-supported every step of the way. This is your opportunity to earn your coveted 100-mile belt buckle!
Family and friends can easily follow your progress in real-time with Live Online GPS Tracking via GB Race Tracker. Throughout the race, you'll receive exceptional support from the dedicated GB Ultras team. For those with additional support, crews are welcome at designated locations, and pacers can join you from the halfway point. The 2026 event also offers valuable ITRA points and UTMB mountain performance index points for your ultra-running achievements.
The Chester 100 mile ultra marathon by GB Ultra kicks off at 6:00 AM on Saturday 18th April 2026, from Ellesmere Port Sports Village, Athletics Track, Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9LB. Don't forget to collect your bib number and GB Race Tracker between 4:15 AM and 5:30 AM on the morning of the race.
