Beacons Way 100K Ultra Marathon

Running an ultramarathon through the Brecon Beacons is a journey for the senses, and the Beacons Way Ultra 100K is one of the most compelling ways to experience it. This isn't just a race; it's a point-to-point expedition across the heart of Wales' most dramatic mountain range. You'll be following the full length of the Beacons Way trail and it's a route that demands respect.

Course

The race starts in Llangynidr and heads west, taking you through a landscape that feels ancient and untamed. The first big challenge lies in the Black Mountains, where a series of ascents and descents set the tone for what's to come. This isn't just about covering distance, the course throws in a significant amount of climbing, around 11,300 feet in total, so your legs will get a proper workout from the very beginning!

As always, the support from GB Ultras is top-notch, with well-stocked checkpoints every so often to keep you going.

With a generous 24-hour cut-off, this ultra marathon is a true test of endurance, self-reliance and mental grit. It's a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a mountain ultra that truly feels like a pilgrimage through the Brecon Beacons National Park.
