This is a very popular and one of the most highly-regarded 100k ultras in the UK, and for good reason. The SVP100 is a classic point-to-point adventure that’s famous for being both incredibly friendly and seriously runnable.
If you’re stepping up to the 100k distance for the first time, or you're an experienced runner chasing a fast time, this event should be at the top of your list. It's a journey through the very heart of the beautiful Stour Valley.
The SVP100 is a 102km (63.4-mile) point-to-point ultra marathon. You'll start your day in the famous horseracing town of Newmarket, Suffolk, and finish at Brantham Leisure Centre on the Essex/Suffolk border.
The entire route follows the waymarked Stour Valley Path, taking you through the stunning landscape made famous by painter John Constable.
The key feature of this race is its profile. With just over 900 metres of elevation gain across the entire 102km, this is a genuinely flat and fast course. The terrain is a fantastic mix of runnable trails, river paths and tracks winding through picturesque villages and classic English countryside.
You have a generous 15.5 hour cut-off to complete the SVP100, making it very accessible for all running speeds, and the route is also is fully marked.
