Centurion Chiltern Wonderland 50 Mile Ultramarathon
The Centurion Chiltern Wonderland 50 is a spectacular 50 mile loop ultra that takes in the best of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This popular autumn event is a favourite amongst UK ultra runners, offering a challenging course with breath taking views and a fantastic atmosphere. As the third race in the 50 Mile Grand Slam, it’s a key event in the UK ultra-running calendar and a must-do for anyone looking for a tough but rewarding 50 miler.
Course
The race starts and finishes in the charming riverside village of Goring-on-Thames. From there, the 50 mile course takes runners on a clockwise loop through the picturesque Chilterns. With 1,700m (5,600 feet) of elevation gain, the route is a mix of beautiful trails, ancient woodlands and charming villages. The course is well-marked and supported by five fully-stocked aid stations, ensuring that runners are well looked after throughout their journey.
