Follow in the footsteps of the "twelve true knights" who, commanded by King George III, completed the first recorded perambulation of the Dartmoor Forest bounds. This inaugural 50 mile ultra marathon is an invitation to explore one of Britain's last remaining wildernesses.
Organised by Manumit Apparel in partnership with the Dartmoor Outdoor Festival and Dartmoor Search & Rescue, this event is not a flat or fast race. It is a wild, demanding, and rugged adventure that links high moorland tors, ancient ruins, Bronze Age stone circles, and deep river valleys.
While Manumit Apparel is known for its ethical merino wool clothing, this event has a specific local focus. From your entry fee, £2 goes directly to Donate for Dartmoor to support the conservation of the moor and the maintenance of its footpaths and bridleways.
This 50 mile ultra closely follows the historic boundary of the ancient Dartmoor Forest.
The MANUMIT Dartmoor 50 is more than just an ultramarathon, it is a rare opportunity to test your absolute limits in one of Britain's most spectacular and unforgiving landscapes, all while giving back to the conservation of the moor itself. With places strictly capped at just 150 runners for this Pioneers Edition, tickets are highly sought after and guaranteed to sell out quickly. Are you ready to take on the ancient bounds?
