Prepare for an epic adventure through the heart of Snowdonia as Ultra Wales returns for its 7th edition in 2026! This stunning mountain and trail race packs a punch with 2,898m of ascent, leading you through some of Wales' most iconic landscapes.
You'll conquer magnificent peaks including Cadair Idris Penygader (893m) and Rhinog Fach (712m). The route also takes in the charming town of Dolgellau, the world-renowned Barmouth estuary, and the majestic expanse of Coed-y-Brenin, Wales' greatest forest. This challenging course is designed to push ultrarunners to their absolute limits, all while being supported by the fantastic GB Ultras team at six strategically placed checkpoints. Keep your supporters in the loop with live online GPS tracking via GB Race Tracker, allowing them to follow your progress throughout the race.
The Wales 50 Mile Ultra kicks off at 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from the Coed-y-Brenin Visitor Centre, Dolgefeiliau, Ganllwyd, Dolgellau, LL40 2HZ. Don't forget to collect your bib number and GB Race Tracker between 4:15 AM and 5:30 AM on the morning of the race.
