Esk Valley Way 50km Ultramarathon - Mind Over Moors

Designed for runners who crave rugged landscapes and big skies, this 58km (approx. 36 mile) ultra is a brilliant test of endurance. It offers a deeply satisfying loop that explores the hidden valleys, ancient trods and sweeping high moorland that make this part of Yorkshire so special.
Course
Starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Castleton, the route showcases the very best of the Esk Valley and its surrounding high ground. Starting in Castleton, you'll tackle a 15-mile loop before tracing the Esk River all the way to the coast. By the time you reach the finish, the only way forward is into the North Sea itself. Depending on the weather, that final plunge might feel like a blessing.
