Make no mistake, 50km on Dartmoor feels entirely different to 50km anywhere else. Step away from the sanitised, heavily-taped trail races and experience an unfiltered adventure across one of the UK’s wildest landscapes.
Brought to you by ethical clothing brand Manumit Apparel, alongside the Dartmoor Outdoor Festival and Dartmoor Search & Rescue, this inaugural 50km ultramarathon (32 mile) is a serious test of endurance and mountaincraft. Designed to echo the historic perambulations of the ancient Dartmoor Forest, it is an epic loop that will challenge your legs, your navigation, and your resolve.
Starting and concluding at the iconic Plume of Feathers pub in Princetown, the highest village on the moor, the 50km course is rugged, remote, and breathtakingly beautiful.
While you are testing your limits, your entry is doing good for the local environment. A £2 donation from every single ticket sold is given directly to Donate for Dartmoor, funding vital conservation work and helping to maintain the National Park's footpaths and bridleways for future generations.
The Manumit Dartmoor 50km is a rare chance to strip ultra-running back to its purest roots: just you, the elements and the ancient landscape. The capacity is strictly limited to just 150 people so places are expected to fill rapidly. If you have the navigational skills and the grit to conquer the moor, do not delay.
