Course
This 50k Ultra begins at the historic Tamdhu Distillery, a fitting starting point for a race that winds its way through the world-famous Speyside whisky region. From there, you'll follow the iconic Speyside Way, a well-maintained trail that offers a perfect introduction to trail running for those transitioning from the road.
The course is a net downhill, making it a fast and enjoyable ultra marathon for those chasing a personal best. But don't be fooled, it's not all easy going! The route includes a rewarding climb up Ben Aigen, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. After descending from the ben, you'll pass through charming whisky towns before reaching the Moray Firth coast. The final stretch takes you along the scenic coastline to the finish line in the heart of Buckie, where a warm welcome and a great sense of achievement await.
