The National Forest Way Ultra 75 is the first-ever ultramarathon to tackle the full 75 mile stretch of the National Forest Way, slicing straight across the wild heart of the Midlands.
Organised by Beacon Race Events, this ambitious 75 mile point-to-point ultramarathon takes runners from the poignant National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire to the windswept heights of Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire. It is a trail carved through old mining country and reborn woodlands, offering a unique blend of ancient paths, rough farmland, and steep, relentless climbs that push you harder with every mile.
The 75 mile route traverses three counties, taking in the spectacular transformation of the National Forest.
This is a well supported trail ultra. The route features six fully stocked checkpoints located at key milestones (including Rosliston Forestry Centre, Conkers Waterside, Calke Abbey, and Sence Valley Country Park). Expect sandwiches, salted potatoes, fruit, crisps, biscuits, and hydration (cola, electrolytes, water).
This is the first time the entire National Forest Way has been raced as a single ultramarathon and it's an incredible opportunity to carve your name into the history of the trail, experience the brilliant camaraderie of a new ultra, and witness the incredible environmental regeneration of the Midlands landscape. Plus, a tree is planted for every single participant! For full race day info, including registration details, please visit the official race website.
