Set in the dramatic and rugged landscape of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), the Ultra X Wales 110K is a true test of endurance in one of the UK’s most stunning National Parks. Whether you choose to tackle the full distance in a single day or split the adventure over a weekend, this race offers a spectacular tour of South Wales’ finest trails.
Based near Abergavenny, the event takes runners on a journey through rolling green hills, classic ridgelines, and remote valleys. It captures the very essence of Welsh trail running: big climbs, sweeping views, and a community atmosphere that is second to none.
The 110km route is designed to showcase the "hidden" gems of the region as well as its iconic peaks. With a technicality rating of 3/5, the course offers a solid mix of runnable trails and more challenging, uneven sections. You can expect significant elevation gain as you traverse the hills, rewarded by panoramic views that stretch for miles on a clear day.
The route is fully marked, removing the stress of navigation and allowing you to focus entirely on the terrain and the experience.
