The Centurion North Downs Way 50 is a classic 50 mile ultramarathon that follows the stunning North Downs Way National Trail. This point-to-point ultra offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the South East of England. As the second race in the 50 Mile Grand Slam, it attracts a competitive field and runners of all abilities looking for a memorable and challenging day out on the trails.
Starting in Farnham, Surrey, this ultra takes runners on a 50 mile journey eastwards to the finish in Knockholt Pound, Kent. The course boasts a significant 1,700m (5,600 feet) of elevation gain, making it a hilly and demanding route. Runners will traverse a variety of terrains, with approximately 80% of the course on trail and 20% on road. The route passes through picturesque villages and notable landmarks, including the iconic Box Hill. The course is well-supported with 6 aid stations and the route is clearly marked with both the National Trail acorn symbols and Centurion's own markers.
