Beginning in the vibrant town of Keswick, your 50km ultra marathon immediately ascends into the majestic fells. This meticulously crafted route takes you on a grand tour of some of the Lake District's most celebrated and challenging peaks. Prepare to embark on an incredible journey from Keswick, heading through Seatoller to courageously summit Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain.
From there, the course descends into the remote beauty of Wasdale, before demanding another monumental effort to climb Great Gable and High Spy via the dramatic Honister Pass. The trails are a challenging mix of terrain, from long, grinding ascents and fast, technical descents to rugged singletrack and remote sections that truly immerse you in the wildness of the fells. You'll navigate through stunning valleys and along spectacular ridgelines, including the iconic Catbells, before returning to Keswick.
