Skyrun Eryri 14 Peaks 55k Ultra Marathon

This is it. If you're looking for one of the most brutal and breath taking mountain 50K ultras in the UK, you've found it! The Skyrun Eryri 14 Peaks Ultra isn't just a race; it's a monumental journey across the roof of Wales.

Forget fast, runnable trails. This is a pure, technical mountain ultra for experienced runners who are as comfortable on a Grade 1 scramble as they are on a summit.

Course

The stats alone are staggering: 55km (34 miles) with a colossal 3,900+ metres (12,800+ feet) of elevation gain.

This isn't a route made for an ultra; it is the route. The course follows the legendary Welsh 3000s, a challenge to summit all 14 of Eryri's (Snowdonia's) 3,000ft peaks. It’s a relentless, raw and rugged point-to-point traverse of the Glyderau, Carneddau, and Snowdon massifs.

You can expect technical, rocky ridges, steep ascents where you'll be using your hands, and descents that demand total concentration. The views, if you get a clear day, are simply beyond comparison.

Let's be clear, this is not a first-time ultra! This is a race for seasoned mountain runners, fell runners and aspiring skyrunners who have a head for heights and are self-sufficient in a remote mountain environment.

The race is a serious undertaking with a demanding 16-hour cut-off. You'll also be navigating long, exposed sections between just 2 aid stations, meaning your self-management, nutrition and kit will be tested to the absolute limit.

If you have the experience and the grit, completing this race is one of the biggest achievements you can earn in British ultra running.
